I’ve been living 15 years of my life aimlessly until I met my friends who always motivated me :D My birthday is on the 07th of March, and it’s not necessary to give me present. (well, who knows? I may be lying, haha)

Honestly I am happy with this news, the batik finally recognized by the world and the United Nations that batik is Indonesia's cultural heritage. And the opening will be held today 2 October 2009 in Abu Dhabi, UNESCO will establish such recognition. In addition, UNESCO will set every year on October 2 as the day batik world. So, then should we as citizens of Indonesia on the day can use Batik to participate in preserving this batik. However, as an Indonesian citizen who truly love Indonesia so we are obliged to love all that exists in this country including its culture. Do not let the owner as the cultures that are diverse, including batik, will be claimed by other countries, simply because we as the owners less preserving our culture itself.
Let friends, we must start from our own personal to be able to preserve batik as a country. So do not hesitate and do not be ashamed to wear batik in everyday. I myself started to love batik while to understand that how important this ancestral heritage to continue to be preserved.
